Every time we say yes to something, we’re actually saying no to something else. Think about it:
- When you say yes to something you don’t enjoy, you’re saying no to things that you love
- When you say yes to a job you don’t love, you’re saying no to your dreams
- When you say yes to someone you don’t like, you’re saying no to a fulfilling relationship
- When you say yes to working overtime, you’re saying no to your social life
- When you say yes to Quadrant 3/4 tasks, you’re saying no to your Quadrant 2, high value activities

- Watch and read news from more than one channel—including from “the other side”
- Read between the lines to tune out the marketing, fear- and hate-mongering…remember that news outlets have political agendas as well.
- Be realistic in your expectations: The problems we have today grew over years and sometimes decades, so don’t expect overnight improvements.
- If you don’t vote at all, then don’t complain!
