There’s always the next level.
No matter how hard you’ve worked and what you’ve achieved, you can always be challenged to do even better—and that’s a good thing.
Since I decided to commute by mountain bike in the summer of 2007, I’ve dropped nearly 40 pounds, and am close to approaching my goal of a body fat percentage below 10%. I’ve managed to achieve a personal best top sprint speed of 27.8 miles per hour on my loaded-down, 40-pound commuter bike (my “truck”, I like to call it), and know I can do even better.
Part of reaching the next level is even finer attention to nutrition, training, and sleep. I’ll detail these areas in future posts, and am open to suggestions on how to improve.
